BUT! Please please please report posts that shouldn't be here. We don't allow the sale of puppies or kittens, but let's all be honest here, the sale of any pet is frowned upon. Being rude or nasty to each other is strongly discouraged. And spamming will get you banned for life.

If they are just randomly appearing I would scan your computer for viruses and adware.

I recommend Norton Anti-virus and Ad-Aware (free version works excellent!) and THEN look into getting a popup blocker.

I'v used the free Google pop-up blocker for a long ime and don't have any trouble with it.

I also agree with Kaye. When you possibly can you need to get some Ad and Spyware protection. Any of those programs (I have the Norton on my new laptop) also come with pop-up blockers.

My MSN Toolbar also has a pop-up blocker.. and I think Windows has one as well, if you are running XP might want to check microsoft.com and check for a patch or something.

Alternatively, you can change your internet browser. If you switch to Mozilla Firefox, it comes with a pop-up blocker that only allows user-activated pop-ups, and is generally a lot safer than Internet Explorer, since virus-makers only go for the majority . But it is safer, seriously. And guess what? You can block ads (the non pop-up ones) you don't like (but you'll have to download an extension for that). About the stuff you saved in IE, Firefox lets you import it directly, so nothing to worry. Firefox also has a lot of other features, you can check it out here.

Do you have to visit them really? I do have an 18 year old son. Maybe I'd better check his history! You do take really nice pictures John but I think posing is out. However, we haven't visited the peek-a-boo room since the first night the cyber cafe opened.

I use Yahoo.com, it;s free and right on your tool bar. You don't see anything, I just delete the pop ups. Good Luck.

honestly I've been using it for a while now, and I've yet to see one banner ad, and maybe once a week a pop up may leak through. It's also got tabs, so you can have more then one page open but only be using one browser. Takes a little bit to get used too, but it's well worth it.

Sorry, but Firefox has no bugs. I won't argue with you on this but I don't think it's very fair to say that and turn away new users who haven't even tried it. I've been using it for well over a year and I think it's better than Maxthon, which I tried out for a week or so before Firefox, so you can't say I'm not being fair. Firefox does have all the features listed on their features page. However, as I said before, I don't want to get into an argument with you for this; for those who want to change browsers, you decide.
