  • Splenda

One of my birds was trying to get to my applesauce sweetened with Splenda. She didn't get any, but it got me wondering: Is Splenda toxic to birds and other animals like apartame is? Has anyone heard anything about this? I know it's made from sugar. Since I'm diabetic, I buy a lot things with Splenda in it. Just curious.

      I wouldn't think anything......

so highly refined, would be *great* for any bird. I suppose a bite might not be so bad..... Perhaps you could convert to the all natural applesauce? After awhile, your perception of what is *sweet* changes and it does taste sweet!
